Metal Gear Arcade review

Went to play Metal Gear Arcades,

Each 100 yen give you a set amount of credits, which you use to select missions.
If you accumulated your coins, then you receive bonus credits.
Although it's not that much, it urged you to put more coins in it.

After you clear a mission, you will receive points which upgrade your ranks, unlocking more missions and stuffs to buy.
You will also receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze card depend on your performance, which you use to buy equipments.

With online mode, you can play up to 4 players in the store with your friends,
but since I didn't brought one, I don't know how the experience will be like.
You can also play globally online, but this mode use lots of points,
and I can't choose stages. This may be because I haven't unlock enough stuffs yet. However, others won't join unless they choose the same mode, and most of the times I stuck playing alone against CPUs.

Beside the gun, there are goggle which you use for 3D viewing and head controls.
And a mic for internal communication.
There are 2 control schemes
The easier version will move your view when you simply move your gun.
The standard one have you move your head to change POV, while the gun simply move cursors.
You use analog stick that got stuck to the gun for body control. Due to the weird angle that I have to put my hand on, it hurts after a long play.

So far, I've got myself an assault rifle, which is more powerful than machine-gun but need to reload more often. However, considering how long it took to re-load, firepower is more needed.
Haven't got enough points to buy a sniper rifle yet.
The movement is also incredibly slow. My character's weight is only about 30%, and yet it's way too slow for my liking.

The Goods
You can switch 3D vision on/off

The Bads
I can't figure out how to do CQC and box hiding.
Cam control on Standard is lagging when it need to be fast,
and can't do fine tune when you need it to.
Movement is too slow.
Gun design is ergonomically bad, my wrist hurt like hell.

Personal wishes
Separate analog body control from the gun!!!
Add goggles and gun into a PS3 package and let us play with PS3 move!!!

Recommendation
If this doesn't have a Metal Gear name attached to it, I wouldn't have played.
Play Black OPS
